I read recently that we lag behind most developed countries – 25th place in fact - in using the power of social media to find jobs. According to the survey, conducted by Kelly Global Workforce Index™, only 20% of job seekers use this route. Astounding, you may think, considering the unemployment levels and general adoption of online membership to social websites. The most common reason cited by those surveyed was being compromised because of the sensitivity of the personal content published. Does this mean the Brits are a little more prone to embellishment or projecting a less than ideal image to potential employers than our international counterparts?
